As we enter prayer now, we pause to breathe deeply and still our minds to hear God in the stillness.

Father God, You make all things new, awaken our hearts to dream new dreams in this New year. Let us set aside any baggage or worries we have been carrying, let us find a home in your presence. We breathe in your pursuing love towards us.

Father God, we pray for healing of those we know and for those we don't know, for physically ill, and for those who struggle with their mental wellbeing. We pray for peace for those families who are grieving a loved one.

Lord Jesus, we surrender our whole hearts to you again today. Make yourself at home and reframe our lives with your vision. Live as King within every room of our hearts. Lord Jesus, you are the way, and the truth, and the life.

Lord Jesus, we pray here today for the ending of the wars that are taking place in 32 countries around the world today. We pray with all our hearts to end the killing of all human beings. Lord, we pray for your protection of the innocent and redemption for those involved in all these conflicts. We pray that all people know your love for all God's people.

Holy Spirit, we pray for wisdom, strength and courage to look after our community a little more, be a little kinder to our neighbours, and look after ourselves a little better.

Holy Spirit, we pray to you today to help us stand strong in the face of injustice, loving mercy and walking humbly as our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ did, help us to be more Christ-like.

Psalm 103 1-5

Bless the Lord, O my soul

and all that is within me,

bless his holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul,

and do not forget all his benefits---

who forgives all your iniquity,

who heals all your diseases,

who redeems your life from the Pit,

who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,

who satisfies you with good as long as you live

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

The Lords Prayer

Our Father in Heaven

Hallowed be thy name

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

Forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors.

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever.

Amen
