Join us Mondays in the Community Centre at Christ Church- in the Large Meeting Room, from 12 noon as we delve further into our Bibles, whilst keeping with the amazing Lectio 365 App.

Devotional time

We start each session by reading out loud from the Lectio 365 app.

This app is a digital 24/7 prayer app, which does both morning and evening devotionals, where we use the 4 practices of P.R.A.Y: Pause, Reflect, Ask and Yield.

This is where we get our Bible reading inspiration from, as we never know what to expect!

Then we read...

After some opening prayers to encourage our learning and conversations, we read the chosen passage- and we take a few moments to read it to ourselves and see if anything speaks to us, it could be a word or a sentence.

The great discussions

After you have thought about what word, or phrase stands out to you, one by one we go around the group and our selected words are written on the large whiteboard, and we analyse them together- from what we think they mean- to the commentary in our Bibles. Its is about sharing our relationship with God, and growing in our faith through the study of scripture.

Bring your Bible

You are welcome to borrow a Bible, or bring your favourite version from home.

Each different version uses different words - and although they all mean the same thing, reading these different versions helps to open our minds to new thoughts about the scripture.

Don't forget...there are plenty of biscuits and warm drinks available too!
