Get your prayer fuel!

From 7pm we take part in tea and fellowship- this helps us get ourselves ready for an hour of silent prayer & worship. It is easier to pray once we have had a nice warm drink!

Goin' to the chapel!

Then it is time to enter the Lady Chapel, which is a smaller part of the church, much more intimate and easier to focus in, to start our time of prayer.

During the hour...

Throughout the hour, we might be listening to some quiet meditative music, and to help keep us focused, every 15 minutes someone will speak of a topic for us to focus our prayers into.

It is entirely up to you how you spend this time, some of us read our bible, some of us are on our knees in deep, contemplative conversation with God, others are just enjoying the stillness of the hour.

We think it is vital that in todays busy world, we make time to pray, give thanks, and ask for forgiveness- and know that we are entirely at the mercy of God.

Why do we do it?

Our personal relationships with God are so important. They need nourishment, encouragement, and continued attention. It is so easy to be swept into the hustle and bustle of modern day life, that we often forget to make time to pray- which is just as important as any other self care, we think of it as recharging our God battery, so that we can continue spreading his message, without burning out.
